Jay Gordon

Jay is a co-founder of Building Human Resilience, motivated by a profound passion for empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential—mind, body, and soul. His extensive experience is rooted in a distinguished career as a Warrant Officer Class One in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps. Throughout his service, Jay has successfully guided numerous personnel in enhancing their health and well-being, both in group environments and through one-on-one coaching. Having navigated high-pressure operational scenarios, he has cultivated substantial mental resilience, which he effectively incorporates into the courses offered by Building Human Resilience 

Tony Finch

Tony is a co-founder of Building Human Resilience and has a passion to help people realise the true potential and achieve their goals. Tony’s experience has come from a successful career in the Army reaching the rank of Major on both Full Time and Reservist commitments. Different appointment within his military career has seen him deliver Life Skills and Whole Life Development courses to improve the wellbeing of the soldiers and their families. In his past civilian career Tony has been a commercial trainer and over the years he has developed initiatives for Whole Life Development and Health and Wellbeing programmes for which he has been commended.  He has experience delivering support to large groups and organisations also one to one support.  His drive, passion and knowledge is shown within his delivery.  

Jonners

Jonners, is a seasoned leader with nearly 3 decades of experience in defence operations, planning, and strategic engagement. He served in both the Royal Air Force and Army, reaching the rank of Squadron Leader and Lieutenant Colonel, respectively - holding key leadership and staff roles in the UK and on overseas operations. His recent focus has been on aviation strategy, stakeholder engagement, leadership and organisational development. He has worked with McKinsey and a broad range of SMEs and start-ups. Jonners lectures on leadership, mentoring, programme, and innovation change management at the University of Suffolk, delivering ILM Level 5 & 7. He also speaks regularly at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. He lives in Suffolk with his wife Linda, an NHS operations director, and their daughter. Outside work, he enjoys sailing and driving his classic Land Rover.

Lorraine Dawson

Lorraine has extensive experience in the first aid industry, including 14 years of frontline service with the London Ambulance Service. Her dedication to emergency care has equipped her with essential skills and knowledge to handle high-pressure situations effectively. Lorraine teaches first aid across various sectors, including Network Rail and Transport for London (TFL). Her training emphasizes the importance of being prepared for emergencies, instilling confidence in participants to respond appropriately. In addition to her work with transportation organizations, Lorraine collaborates with environmental organizations, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), and King's College University. She tailors her training programs to meet the specific needs of these diverse fields, ensuring participants gain relevant skills for their roles. Overall, Lorraine's commitment to first aid education makes her a respected figure in the industry, inspiring others to prioritize health and safety in their workplaces.
